Multiply.com introduce their e-commerce feature to toy-hobbyist at the leauge of hobbyist assembly
On a short notice, I receive an invite from multipy.com that they will organize an event that will cover on how to establish your online store and be the next toy-kingdom or toys-r-us. The event was held at the Secret Fresh Gallery, Ronac Art Center in Greenhills, San Juan Philippines. The said event encourage hobbyist who are interested to make money on the internet by establishing an online store using multiply.com website and its e-commerce feature. Also on the said event, They invited speakers, at the same time users or online merchants of multiply.com to share their success stories using the website and its e-commerce feature. It is also a gathering of collectors, hobbyist, and some entrepreneurs still practicing the traditional approach of business, that would the brick and mortar approach.
The event was hosted by Azrael Coladilla, a successful toy hobbyist and blogger, who became successful on the internet by selling toys to the enthusiast. He shared his story why online is very profitable when it comes to selling toys and give advise who are interested to enter this kind of business.
The second speaker is Dioana Villanueva an online merchant of multiply.com. She shared her story about becoming a successful online merchant in multiply. Gave lecture to participants on how to start their business online. Multiply.com demonstrate the e-commerce feature of their website to the audience; the business model used is similar to ebay.com and amazon.com, because they established the logistic and payment gateway through their partners; still you will experience the social-media type of this website because they are not using classified-ads approach.
Multiply.com is part owned of Nasper, a company in South-Africa; the company also partnered with sulit.com.ph and level-up Philippines.
I think the purpose of this said event is gain user and win them back because of the domination of facebook.com when it comes to social media and the classified ads comes next.
Multiply.com is also generous on that event because they gave two Sony digicams, two Blackberry Curve, and two Ipod Touch, the fourth generation.
