MyCars.ph - Revolutionizing the buying and selling of cars online
Mycars.ph is managed by the online classifieds company, Get Sold Corporation --a joint venture between publishing giant, Summit Media and Swiss media company Ringier AG.
MyCars.ph's platform was developed by Swiss media group designed for online marketplace:
- Filter-based system allows site visitors to browse all available listings before narrowing their search.
- Premium advertising options effectively showcase advertisers' properties.
- Better integration with today's most popular social networking site for greater advertising reach via word-of-mouth.
- Compare feature allows side-by-side evaluation of two vehicles.
Does MyCars.ph can compete with Philippine's top website like Sulit.com.ph, Ayosdito.ph, and OLX classified ads in terms of search-engine-optimization arena as I try to look for a certain car assuming that MyCars.ph will show result on the first page of the top 3 search engines; as the pages loads it results, websites that are shown the first page even the second page are the top 3 that I mention above and even some local website like www.autoindustriya.com and www.easternmotors.info are showing their pages on the first and second page of the search result from the top 3 search engine.
In my opinion, the company behind the MyCars.ph needs to focus on the SEO side of the website in order to survive the online automotive classified ads war and not basing its strength on social media marketing and link building--basing its strategies using facebook, Google+, and Twitter which is not feasible for the Philippine market.
Its early to tell though about this because the site itself was launched this year only; if this site can survive within 5-years and will display its result on the first and second page of the top 3 search engine, guess mycars.ph will be competitive and not promoting its site using the traditional method like having its booth in carshows or some major events.
