Toshiba finally entered the Tablet market arena with the introduction of their Toshiba Excite X10 tablet. A 10" tablet measuring at just 0.3 inches (7.7mm) thin and weighing just 1.18 pounds (535g) making it one of the slimmest tablet in 10" category.
Toshiba Excite X10 introduced the Autobrite display, a high resolution that is ideal for browsing and entertainment. Its body is made from high-quality magnesium alloy making it very durable — similar to Amoled display by Samsung. The surface is a scratch-resistant glass with an anti-smudge coating for extra resiliency from Corning® Gorilla®
Regarding on the operating system of this tablet, Toshiba Excite X10 will powered with the latest Android operating system; my hunch will be an Android 4.0 version or Ice-cream sandwich — also used in ASUS Transformer tablets.
One thing that this tablet is different with other tablet in the market is the processor that was used. The usual processor that are offered in tablets in the market are usually the Tegra and Qualcomm processors; but, the Toshiba Excite X10 introduced Texas Instruments OMAP™4430 mobile processor; 1.2GHz with 1GB LPDDR2 RAM. Added to that, Excite X10 has this feature that do a multicore processing without draining its battery life. The design of its multicore is a ARM Cortex A9 dual memory core. Besides the introduction of its processor, SRS was used on its audio chipset the differs from other tablets in the market — this tablet will have a high-definition sound.
